Bald Head Island Trip
We went to Baldhead Island for the weekend (August 22-24) and had a fabulous time. We went along with some friends from church (The Fields' family) and my coworker Jana and her fiance Cole. It was Nataleigh's first time walking out on the beach.
We havecome here for several years, and hope we will be able to come in the future. Each time we come, there is something else to marvel at. We did not see an alligator or deer this time, but did see pelicans, turtles, a fox and two school of dolphins

Back to School
The time has come again for Diamond to go back to work. It has been pretty hectic around the house and at Diamond's school the last few weeks, trying to get her classroom ready for the students. I'm kind of glad that she's going back, because now I don't have to have those envious feelings of seeing her and the children asleep in the bed as I head out to work. Ashleigh will be in 5K Montessori and will be returning to McLaurin Elementary, the school she went to last year. We all decided that instead of going to "mommy's" school (Royall Elem.), she would spend one more year at McLaurin. Ashleigh loved it last year, and couldn't wait to go back. She's been counting down the days.

Just Getting Started
I've been considering writing a blog for a while, but just didn't know if I'd be able to keep it going. I finally decided it was worth a try so here is my first attempt. I guess I should tell you a little about myself and my family, for those of you who don't know. My wife's name is Diamond and we have been married since June 12, 1997. We met in 1993 when I was a sophomore and she was a senior at Clemson (GO TIGERS!!!) We have two daughters, Ashleigh Alexandria (born 11/04/02) and Nataleigh Nicole (born 2/13/07). We have lived in Florence since 2001, where I work at an architectural firm and Diamond is and elementary school teacher.
